All profits are donated to help vulnerable Cambodian people survive the COVID-19 economic crisis
Who we support
We are supporting Genevieve’s Fair Trade Village (GFTV), a social enterprise in Siem Reap Cambodia, that provides a not-for-profit retail outlet for the sale of creative works by artisans with disabilities. GFTV also operates Full Belly Farm (FBF), a small urban farm that provides housing for families with disabilities.
Like many SE Asian countries, Cambodia has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. GFTV projects depend on an active tourism trade, and as international travel has ground to a halt, most of the artisans who sold their work through the GFTV retail shop can no longer earn a sustainable income.
In April 2020 GFTV established the Siem Reap Food Bank (SRFB) to help sustain the artisans and their families. It soon became obvious that there were many more people in need of food security and the SRFB has extended their service to include other vulnerable people such as the elderly and single-parent families.
